Goals and Development Priorities

  • Agricultural Progress: More farmer groups and clubs will be formed at the block level. Priority will be given to introducing innovative farming methods, promoting cooperative farming, and transforming agriculture into a profitable and attractive profession.
  • Infrastructure Development: Ensure safe housing, access to drinking water, quality rural roads, and streetlights.
    Health Sector: Enhance the infrastructure of the Family Health Centre (FHC) and Community Health Centre (CHC) under the Block Panchayat and ensure improved service delivery. Establish proactive vigilance and robust prevention mechanisms to tackle public health crises, such as infectious disease outbreaks.
    Education Sector: Collaborate with educational institutions to enhance academic standards while ensuring targeted educational support for marginalized communities. Intensify anti-drug initiatives and awareness campaigns against cybercrimes, and devise programs that foster the development of children into socially responsible citizens.
  • Tourism: Create employment opportunities for the youth by implementing eco-friendly tourism projects that leverage Idukki's tourism potential.
  • Waste Management: Foster a 'Zero Waste Culture' within the Block Panchayat area with the assistance of the Haritha Karma Sena, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and other voluntary organizations.
  • Digital Awareness and Services: Make people digitally literate to ensure that services from Block Panchayats and other public institutions are available to the public quickly and transparently.
