Palkulamedu

Palkulamedu, a striking hilltop located about 12 km from Idukki, is one of Kerala's most captivating trekking destinations. Rising 3,125 metres above sea level, the peak provides expansive views that stretch across the plains, where on a clear day one can spot Kochi, Alappuzha, and several nearby towns in the distance. The name Palkulamedu comes from the Malayalam words "Pal-Kulam-Medu," meaning a hill with a pool of nourishing water. At its summit lies a small freshwater pond, a unique feature that enhances the natural charm of this remote vantage point.
